Synopsis: Hollywood, 1927. George Valentin is a silent film star on top of the world. The advent of talkies will send him into obscurity. Peppy Miller, a young extra, is instead catapulted to stardom. This film tells the story of their intertwined fates, and how fame, pride, and money can all stand in the way of their love story.
