School / Group Screenings
Palace wants to transmit enthusiasm for cinema and stimulate the public's curiosity.
Palace collaborates with several educational organizations that offer a programme of films for students from kindergarten to university. These films are selected for their accessibility to a wide audience of children and teenagers, for their richness of direction and the interest of the themes they address.
We hope to arouse the students' enthusiasm for the cinema through the viewing of a film but also through a debate, a workshop or a discussion with a filmmaker. With this in mind, each screening is preceded by a workshop short film made by young people. If you need advice or help to organize your screening, please feel free to contact us at education@cinema-palace.be.
Écran Large sur Tableau Noir
Ecran Large sur Tableau Noir is a film education programme that extends to the main cities of French-speaking Belgium. Set up in 1982, it is coordinated by the cultural center Les Grignoux (Liège) in partnership with arthouse cinemas and cultural centers throughout French-speaking Belgium.
Programme
Each year, Écran Large sur Tableau Noir offers a programme of films for school screenings that students, from nursery school to higher education, can discover for a small fee with their teachers. These films are selected for their accessibility to a wide audience of children and teenagers and for the richness of their direction or the interest of the themes they deal with.
Dossiers pédagogiques
For each film presented within this program, Les Grignoux offers a free educational file proposing concrete ways of preparing the students before the screening but also ways of using the movie in an educational context after the viewing.
JEF
JEF turns children and young people into film lovers and presents the best films for pre-school, primary and secondary education in cinemas in Flanders and Brussels. Through interactive educational material, workshops and conversations with filmmakers, JEF gets students excited about film.
JEF is a meeting point for all those professionally involved in the field of youth, film and new media, whether in the classroom or in a leisure setup.
