Synopsis : When Déni inherits a small patch of land in the wild, beautiful valley of Pankissi, he sees a chance to finally build the house in the trees that he's dreamed of since he was a boy. But nothing in the rugged Caucasus is ever simple. Returning to a village just across the Chechen border where he was born - a place he barely knows - Déni stirs up old feuds, buried family dramas, and above all, the question everyone keeps asking: when, and with whom, is he finally going to get married?

The En ville ! film festival returns from 26 January to 1 February 2026 for its 7th edition in Brussels cinemas. More specifically, the opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Cinéma Palace. 

Providing an overview of Belgian and international cinema documentaries from the past year, the En ville ! festival is a multifaceted event that tells the story of our territories, their imaginations, and the people who inhabit and bring them to life. 

Twenty-seven recent Belgian and international films, 18 Belgian premieres, competitive sections and special screenings, conviviality and encounters, a guided tour of Brussels with L'architecture qui dégenre, a radio listening session, several master classes, and professional meetings. In short, a varied and complementary programme that weaves together a multifaceted festival, reflecting our cities.
