CLUB 35

Un jeudi par mois, le Palace propose un "classique du cinéma" à voir ou à revoir sur grand écran.

One Thursday a month, the Palace offers a "classic film" to see or re-see on the big screen.

"Doctor Zhivago", directed by David Lean in 1965, will be presented at Palace cinema in the purest tradition of the great Hollywood spectacles of the 1960s. Particular care will be taken in presenting the film, using a rare Panavision vintage print that has been miraculously preserved. Resplendent Technicolor colors, immersive stereophonic sound of exceptional quality, an unforgettable score by Maurice Jarre and a remarkable adaptation by Robert Bolt of Boris Pasternak's Nobel Prize-winning novel! In the original "uncut" version, with all the music for the prologue, intermission and ending, Palace cinema invites you to rediscover the grandiose spectacle of David Lean's film in Technicolor.

The film, shot in Metrocolor, was printed on Technicolor prints that are almost impossible to rediscover today in their original form. The Technicolor process was abandoned for all subsequent 35mm prints.
