Synopsis: SOFT LEAVES immerses us in the world of 11-year-old Yuna, played by Lill Berteloot (making her film debut). Yuna lives with her father Julien (Geert Van Rampelberg), a high jump coach with whom she gets on well. When Julien takes a bad fall and ends up in hospital, Yuna is alone with Kai, her older brother. Their little world is turned upside down when their mother, accompanied by their half-sister, arrives from Japan to take care of them.

In this very personal debut feature, director Miwako van Weyenberg gives us an intimate portrait of a young girl searching for identity and recognition.
