"The director, who also penned the screenplay, slickly (and not without a sense of irony) captures the bedrock of homophobia and patriarchy that, in those years when AIDS was spreading, also oozes from the most mundane of conversations." - Cineuropa

After the screening, an 80s-themed party will be held at the Palace's Bar ! DJs, cocktails and dancing, everything will be there to immerse you in this nostalgic atmosphere.

Synopsis: Jean (Rosy McEwen) is a high school gym teacher. In Margaret Thatcher's conservative England, it is impossible for her to live her homosexuality in the open. But the arrival of a new student forces Jean to make choices.

With this impressive debut film, director and screenwriter Georgia Oakley shows us that there is a place for everyone in society. After winning the Audience Award at the Venice Film Festival (Giornate degli Autori section), the film won four British Independent Film Awards.
