MASTERCLASS - CASTING - TÊTES BRULÉES
MASTERCLASS
One Thursday per month, Palace highlights a technical profession in cinema. In partnership with film schools, the André Delvaux Academy, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and mediarte.
In February, Marie McCourt will talk to us about the job of Casting Director, particularly for the film TÊTES BRULÉES. The masterclass will be preceded by a screening of the film and will be held in French.
Marie McCourt is a director and casting director based in Brussels. After her short film I Was Still There When You Left Me, which won a Student Oscar, she is now completing a feature-length documentary on sex education for men. Her directing and casting practices feed into each other: she sees casting as a space for research and encounters. She has since collaborated on films by Maja Ajmia Zellama, Patric Chiha, Ève Duchemin, and Théo Degen, and is currently working on Pauline Beugnies' first feature film.
