The programme
The programme at Le Palace focuses on quality and diversity. Le Palace is committed to supporting the creative process, showing films that bring people together as much as they divide them. Its aim is to spark debate and stimulate the audience’s curiosity and reflection.
Le Palace nurtures a policy of collaboration with the festivals it hosts (En ville!, Kinolatino, BRIFF, Pink Screens, BAFF, Cinemamed etc.) as well as with its partners (CinéFemme, Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, Fondation Chantal Akerman, KidZik etc.).
Le Palace screens Belgian and international films in their original versions, subtitled in French, Dutch or, where possible, English.
Le Palace puts on numerous preview screenings, talks with filmmakers, actors and other film professionals, as well as regular events: these include screenings of contemporary Belgian and classic films, spotlights on the technical crafts involved in filmmaking and a selection of films for the whole family to enjoy.
Every summer, more than fifty titles are put on as part of Sun Screens, ranging from new releases and classics to reissues, must-sees and special events.
On weekdays, Le Palace puts on public screenings from 11.30am and on Wednesdays, titles are released from 9am. These weekday morning screenings (before 1pm) are offered at a single, attractively priced rate of €8.
Le Palace plays an educational role and tackles a number of social issues. The cinema puts on screenings for schools, associations and neighbourhood organisations in Brussels, as well as organising activities and workshops. Le Palace also works with two associations specialising in school screenings: Écran large sur Tableau Noir (for French-speaking schools) and JEF in de Klas (for Dutch-speaking schools).
Club 35
One Thursday a month, Le Palace puts on a “classic film” to watch or re-watch on the big screen. The films are introduced by filmmaker Fabrice Du Welz and screened mostly in their original format on 35mm film, with their technical and historical features explained by Jean-Pierre Verscheure, film historian and preservation specialist.
Family Time
On the last Sunday of every month, Le Palace screens a film for the whole family, accompanied by an activity.
Masterclass
One Thursday a month, Le Palace shines a spotlight on a different profession in the world of filmmaking. In partnership with film schools, the André Delvaux Academy, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and mediarte.

One Thursday a month, Le Palace invites you to discover Belgian creativity. Brand new or classic titles.
Special Event
Le Palace puts on special screenings throughout the year. The screenings are usually attended by invited guests and are accompanied by debates, discussions and activities that give the films a whole new dimension.
Morning Screenings
On Wednesdays, the day that films come out, Le Palace offers screenings from 9am so you can see the latest releases. These exclusive screenings are available at the special price of €8!
